Hi, I am Our Lady of Guadalupe. I am the Patroness of the Americas and of Mexico. I appeared to Saint Juan Diego and asked for a church to be built in my honor, but the bishop did not believe him. I told Juan Diego to gather roses and when he opened his cloak and released them before the bishop, my image appeared on his cloak. My image is now Mexico's most popular symbol.

Hi I’m Pope Francis, the head of the Catholic Church on earth. Before Jesus went up to heaven he made Saint Peter the first Pope to lead the Church. Now it is my turn to lead the Church. When Jesus was on earth he wanted all people to believe in him and become part of the Church. He said there will be one fold and one shepherd. Everyday I try to be like Jesus and make everyone to feel welcome in the Catholic Church.

Hi, I am Saint George. There is a legend about my life. Once there was a terrible dragon! But no one was brave enough to stop it. One day I saw the king’s beautiful daughter about to get eaten by the dragon. I jumped from my horse and battled it. I protected myself with the sign of the cross. After I defeated the dragon, everyone in the town was baptized and believed in Jesus. God used me to show the people that nothing is stronger than God.

Hi, I am Saint Gianna. When I lived on earth I worked as a doctor. I also had a husband and children that I loved very much. When I had a new baby growing in my belly I became very sick. I told the doctors to make sure by baby was safe. Just a few days after my beautiful baby girl was born I went up to heaven to be with Jesus.

My name means,”she who bumps into things!” Instead of getting married, I dedicated my entire life to Jesus. When I died, my scarred face was miraculously made beautiful again – just like baptism makes our souls beautiful.

Hi, I am Saint Lazarus. I was a good friend of Jesus when He was living on earth. One time I got very sick. My sisters Martha and Mary were very worried so they asked Jesus to come heal me. Before Jesus came I died, and everyone was sad. When Jesus arrived He went to the place where I was buried and said, “Lazarus come out!” At that moment I was raised from the dead. Jesus brought me back to life and I walked out the tomb!

Hi, I am Saint Thérèse of Lisieux. I loved to follow Jesus in little simple ways. When I was only 15 years old I wanted to join the Carmelite nuns. They were cloistered nuns which means they lived away from the world and spent much of their time praying to Jesus. Everyone thought that I was too young to join the sisters so I went all the way to the Pope to get special permission to join the Carmelites early! I thought of myself as Jesus’ little flower doing little things with great love.

Hi, I am the Blessed Mother, Jesus’ mom. When I was a young girl, God sent an angel named Gabriel to me and asked me to be the Mother of God. I said, yes! Because God chose me to be His mother, He gave me a very special gift. When I was created my soul was perfectly clean and sparkly without sin. Everyone else needs to be baptized to clean their soul, but Jesus made my soul perfect from the start. The Church calls this The Immaculate Conception.
