Meet Jeremiah
Jeremiah was a priest and prophet while the Israelites were in exile. Remember, exile means the Israelites were sent away from the Promised Land. This made Jeremiah sad. Even though the temple was destroyed, Jeremiah reminded the people that God would not forget them. God would lead his people back to the Promised Land. Jeremiah also told them that God would send a wise king to rule them. Jeremiah was talking about Jesus. Jesus is the king of Heaven and earth.
