Meet Joseph
Joseph is Jesus’ foster-father. An angel appeared to Joseph and told him to take care of Mary and Jesus. Joseph listened to the angel. Jesus’ real Father is God, who is in Heaven. Joseph took care of Jesus on earth. The angel called Joseph a son of David. This was important because God promised that Jesus would be a descendant of King David. Even though Joseph was Jesus’ foster-father, he was related to King David too. Joseph was a wonderful father and carpenter. He taught Jesus many things.
